Description
Raw silk is a natural fiber obtained from the cocoon of silkworms — just like regular silk — but it is less refined. During processing, the sericin (a natural gum that coats silk filaments) is not completely removed, giving raw silk its distinctive texture and matte finish.
Unlike the smooth, glossy silk used in luxury sarees or gowns, raw silk feels more earthy and organic, making it a favorite for people who love natural fabrics with character.
